Section twenty-eight of the [38 & 39 Vict. c. 77.] Supreme Court of Judicature Act, 1875, which requires the Treasury to prepare annually an account of the receipts and expenditure in respect of the High Court and the Court of Appeal, and of certain other matters, shall have effect as though for the words " the Treasury shall cause to be prepared annually an account," and for the words " make " such returns and give such information as the Treasury " may from time to time require for the purpose of " enabling them to make out the said account," there were respectively substituted the words " the Lord Chancellor shall cause to be prepared annually an account, " and the words " make such returns and give such information as " the Lord Chancellor may from time to time require for " the purpose of enabling him to make out the said " account."
