Co-operation with the European Commission: transfers of personal data outside the EEA U.K.

25 (1) The repeal of section 54(3) of the 1998 Act (co-operation by the Commissioner with the European Commission etc), and the revocation of the Data Protection (International Co-operation) Order 2000 (S.I. 2000/190), do not affect the application of articles 1 to 4 of that Order after the relevant time in relation to transfers that took place before the relevant time. U.K.

(2) In this paragraph—

• “the relevant time” means the time when the repeal of section 54 of the 1998 Act comes into force;

• “transfer” has the meaning given in article 2 of the Data Protection (International Co-operation) Order 2000 (S.I. 2000/190).
