4.Section 6 sets out the territorial extent of the Act. The territorial extent is mixed. Sections 1 to 4 extend to England and Wales but apply to England only. Sections 5 and 6 of the Act, and paragraphs 1 to 6 of the Schedule extend to the whole of the United Kingdom. The provision in Paragraph 7 of the Schedule, in relation to the objectives of the General Pharmaceutical Council (‘GPhC’), extends to Great Britain only. This reflects the jurisdiction of the GPhC.
