The Immigration and Asylum Act 1999 is amended as follows.

Section 143 (destruction of fingerprints) is repealed.

In section 144(1) (power to make provision about other biometric information) for “, 142 and 143” substitute “and 142”.

Omit section 166(4)(g) (Parliamentary procedure for orders under section 143).
