8.The Act extends to (that is, forms part of the law of) England and Wales, but applies only in relation to England. Section 1(1) specifies that the autism strategy will relate only to adults in England. Section 4(1) defines “local authority” and “NHS body” so as to include only bodies based wholly or mainly in England.
