The F1Secretary of State may, at the request of the Examining authority, appoint a person to act as an assessor to assist the Examining authority in the Examining authority's examination of the application.

A person may be appointed as an assessor only if it appears to the F2Secretary of State that the person has expertise that makes the person a suitable person to provide assistance to the Examining authority.
