Where a club which holds a club premises certificate decides to surrender it, the club may give the relevant licensing authority a notice to that effect.

The notice must be accompanied by the club premises certificate or, if that is not practicable, by a statement of the reasons for the failure to produce the certificate.

Where a notice is given in accordance with this section, the certificate lapses on receipt of the notice by the authority.
