2001 CHAPTER 22
An Act to amend the definition of “the Treaties” and “the Community Treaties” in section 1(2) of the European Communities Act 1972 so as to include the decision of 29th September 2000 of the Council on the Communities' system of own resources.

BE IT ENACTED by the Queen’s most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Lords Spiritual and Temporal, and Commons, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—
1Extended meaning of “the Treaties” and “the Community Treaties”
In section 1(2) of the European Communities Act 1972 (c. 68), in the definition of “the Treaties” and “the Community Treaties”, for paragraph (e) (Council decisions of 7th May 1985, 24th June 1988 and 31st October 1994 on Communities' system of own resources) and the word “and” immediately preceding it, there is substituted “and
(e)the decisions of the Council of 7th May 1985, 24th June 1988, 31st October 1994 and 29th September 2000, on the Communities' system of own resources; and”.
2Short title and repeal
(1)This Act may be cited as the European Communities (Finance) Act 2001.
(2)The European Communities (Finance) Act 1995 (c. 1) (which is superseded by this Act) is hereby repealed.
