2In subsection (1) of section 33 of the Immigration Act 1971 (interpretation)—
(a)after the definition of “certificate of entitlement” there shall be inserted—
““Convention adoption” has the same meaning as in the [1976 c. 36.] Adoption Act 1976 and the [1978 c. 28.] Adoption (Scotland) Act 1978;”; and
(b)in the definition of “legally adopted”, after “Islands” there shall be inserted “, under a Convention adoption”.
