Immigration Act 1971 (c. 77)

In subsection (1) of section 33 of the Immigration Act 1971 (interpretation)—
a
after the definition of “certificate of entitlement” there shall be inserted—
“Convention adoption” has the same meaning as in the [1976 c. 36.] Adoption Act 1976 and the [1978 c. 28.] Adoption (Scotland) Act 1978;
b
in the definition of “legally adopted”, after “Islands” there shall be inserted “, under a Convention adoption”.
