3For section 75 of the Metropolitan Police Act 1839 (meaning of “magistrate” in that Act) there shall be substituted—
In this Act “magistrate”means—
(a)a metropolitan stipendiary magistrate, or
(b)any two justices of the peace having jurisdiction within the metropolitan police district, sitting together publicly in a magistrates' court within their commission area.”
