Funding of school inspections and forestry in WalesU.K.

104[F1Her Majesty’s Chief Inspector of Education and Training in Wales or Prif Arolygydd Ei Mawrhydi dros Addysg a Hyfforddiant yng Nghymru.]U.K.

(1)The provision of funding for [F1Her Majesty’s Chief Inspector of Education and Training in Wales or Prif Arolygydd Ei Mawrhydi dros Addysg a Hyfforddiant yng Nghymru] (“the Chief Inspector”) shall be the responsibility of the [F2Welsh Ministers] .

(2)What subsection (1) requires of the [F2Welsh Ministers] is that [F3they] shall provide such funding for the Chief Inspector as [F4they consider] appropriate.

(3)In deciding what funding [F5they consider] appropriate to provide for the Chief Inspector, the [F2Welsh Ministers] shall have regard in particular to what [F5they consider] the Chief Inspector needs to spend in order to discharge his functions effectively.

(4)The [F2Welsh Ministers] shall before the beginning of each financial year consult the Chief Inspector about the funding [F6they are] to provide for him in that financial year F7. . .

[F8(4A)The [F2Welsh Ministers] shall—

(a)approve the plan submitted to [F9them] under section 87 of the Learning and Skills Act 2000; and

(b)determine the amount of the funding [F10they are] to provide under this section in accordance with the plan as approved by [F11them] .

(4B)But before [F12they give their] approval under subsection (4A)(a), the [F2Welsh Ministers] may require the Chief Inspector to modify the plan.]
