In section 1 of the Security Service Act 1989, in subsection (4) (Security Service to act in support of police forces etc.), after “forces” there shall be inserted “, the National Criminal Intelligence Service, the National Crime Squad”.

In section 2 (which imposes duties on the Director General of the Security Service), in subsection (2)(c), after “forces” there shall be inserted “, the National Criminal Intelligence Service, the National Crime Squad”.
