Factories Act 1961 (c. 34) E+W

135 E+W In section 176(1) of the Factories Act 1961 (general interpretation) for the definition of “child” there is substituted—

• ““child” means any person who is not over—

  (a)

  compulsory school age (construed in accordance with section 8 of the Education Act 1996), or

  (b)

  school age (construed in accordance with section 31 of the Education (Scotland) Act 1980);”.
