Any order, notice or other document required or authorised by this Act to be [F1served on, or given to, any person may be served or given] —
(a)by delivering it to that person, or
(b)by leaving it at his usual or last known place of residence, or
(c)by sending it in a prepaid letter addressed to him at that place.
