An Act to make provision for the treatment of two or more charities as a single charity for all or any of the purposes of the Charities Act 1993.

Be it enacted by the Queen’s most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Lords Spiritual and Temporal, and Commons, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—
In section 96 of the [1993 c. 10.] Charities Act 1993 (meaning of “charity” etc.), the following subsection shall be inserted after subsection (5)—
“(6)The Commissioners may direct that for all or any of the purposes of this Act two or more charities having the same charity trustees shall be treated as a single charity.”
(1)This Act may be cited as the Charities (Amendment) Act 1995.
(2)This Act extends only to England and Wales.
