The Sexual Offences (Scotland) Act 1976 (c. 67)

In section 4 of the Sexual Offences (Scotland) Act 1976 (unlawful sexual intercourse with girl between 13 and 16)—
a
in the proviso to subsection (1), the words “on indictment” shall cease to have effect; and
b
after subsection (2) there shall be inserted the following subsection—

For the purposes of the proviso to subsection (1) above, a prosecution shall be deemed to commence on the date on which a warrant to apprehend or to cite the accused is granted, if such warrant is executed without undue delay.
