55 The Paris Convention.U.K.

(1)In this Act—

(a)the Paris Convention” means the Paris Convention for the Protection of Industrial Property of March 20th 1883, as revised or amended from time to time, F2. . .

F3 [( aa ) “the WTO agreement” means the Agreement establishing the World Trade Organisation signed at Marrakesh on 15th April 1994 F4 , and ]

(b)a “Convention country” means a country, other than the United Kingdom, which is a party to that Convention [F5or to that Agreement].

(2)The Secretary of State may by order make such amendments of this Act, and rules made under this Act, as appear to him appropriate in consequence of any revision or amendment of the Paris Convention [F6or the WTO agreement] after the passing of this Act.

(3)Any such order shall be made by statutory instrument which shall be subject to annulment in pursuance of a resolution of either House of Parliament.
