In section 1 of the M1Foreign Compensation Act 1950 (constitution of the Foreign Compensation Commission), at the beginning of subsection (3) there shall be inserted the words “ Subject, in the case of the chairman, to subsection (3A) of this section, ” and after that subsection there shall be inserted—

“(3A)

The chairman of the Commission shall vacate his office on the day on which he attains the age of seventy years; but this subsection is subject to section 26(4) to (6) of the Judicial Pensions and Retirement Act 1993 (power to authorise continuance in office up to the age of seventy-five years).”
