Notes:
The Table does not show the derivation of references in the consolidation to the terms “probation area”, “probation committee” and “probation service” so far as they are derived from enactments amended by the Criminal Justice Act 1982. Section 65(1) of that Act substituted references to those terms for references to the terms “probation and after-care area”, “probation and after-care committee” and “probation and after-care service”, respectively.
