Form, contents and effect of licences
47 Holders of licence.

Every licence under this Chapter to abstract water shall specify the person to whom the licence is granted.

The person to whom a licence under this Chapter is granted to abstract water or to obstruct or impede any inland waters and, in the case of a licence to obstruct or impede any inland waters, no other person is the holder of the licence for the purposes of this Act.

This section has effect subject to sections 49, 50 and 67 below and to any power under this Chapter to vary licences.
