17In section 4 of the [1970 c. 42.] Local Authority Social Services Act 1970, after subsection (1) there shall be inserted the following subsection—
“(1A)A local authority may establish sub-committees of their social services committee and may delegate to any such sub-committee any of the functions of the committee.”
18In section 5(4) of that Act for the words “section 4(2)” there shall be substituted “subsection (1A) or subsection (2) of section 4”.
