14In section 52C(1) of that Act (discharge of scheme’s liability to provide benefits etc) paragraph (b) shall have effect, and be deemed always to have had effect, with the words following sub-paragraph (i) set out as follows—
“(ii)short service benefit, or an alternative to short service benefit,
for or in respect of that person being appropriately secured; and”.
