Maintenance etc. of service pipes

A F2gas transporter shall carry out any necessary work of maintenance, repair or renewal of any service pipe by which gas is conveyed by him to a consumer’s premises, whether or not the service pipe was supplied and laid at the transporter’s expense.

The cost of any work carried out in accordance with sub-paragraph (1) above shall be defrayed as follows—
a
if the work was made necessary by any intentional act or culpable negligence of the consumer and the transporter so requires, by the consumer;
b
in any other case, by the transporter.
