132 Transitional provisions.E+W

The transitional provisions contained in Schedule 5 to this Act have effect.

133 Consequential amendments and repeals.E+W

(1)The enactments specified in Schedule 6 to this Act have effect subject to the amendments specified in that Schedule.

(2)The enactments specified in Schedule 7 to this Act are repealed to the extent specified in the third column of that Schedule.

134 Commencement.E+W

(1)The following provisions of this Act—

(a)sections 12, 13, 31, 38, 42(4) to (6) and 43(3), except so far as they enable regulations to be made,

(b)sections 20, 33, 42(1) to (3), 43(1) and (2), 44 and 45,

(c)section 133(2) and Schedule 7 so far as they relate to F1. . . the M1Atomic Energy Authority Act 1954, and

(d)section 50(2) and (3) and paragraph 9 of Schedule 1,

come into force on such day as the Secretary of State may by order appoint.

[F2(1A)Except so far as relating to the provisions listed in subsection (1B), the reference in subsection (1) to the Secretary of State is to be read, in relation to Wales, as a reference to the Welsh Ministers.

(1B)The provisions mentioned in subsection (1A) are sections 38, 44, 45 and 133(2) and Schedule 7.]

(2)Subject to—

(a)subsection (1) above, and

(b)sections F1. . . 42(7) above,

this Act comes into force on 1st December 1984.
