C492 Penalty for rescuing goods seized.

If any person rescues or attempts to rescue any goods seized in execution under process of F4the county court , he shall be liable—
a
on summary conviction, to imprisonment for a term not exceeding one month or to a fine of an amount not exceeding level 4 on the standard scale, or both; or
b

F7A judge of the county court may at any time revoke an order committing a person to prison under this section and, if he is already in custody, order his discharge.

This section does not apply in the case of goods seized under Schedule 12 to the Tribunals, Courts and Enforcement Act 2007.
