[F231[F3(1)]The returning officer shall make such arrangements as he thinks fit to ensure that—U.K.

(a)every person attending at a polling station (otherwise than for the purpose of voting or assisting a [F4relevant voter] to vote or as a constable on duty there) has been given a copy in writing of the provisions of subsections (1), (3) and (6) of section 66 of this Act; and

(b)every person attending at the counting of the votes (other than any constable on duty at the counting) has been given a copy in writing of the provisions of subsections (2) and (6) of that section.]

[F5(1A)In paragraph (1)(a) “relevant voter” means a voter who is blind, has another disability, or is unable to read.]

[F6(2)In the application of this rule to an election in England or Wales, a reference to a constable includes a person designated as a community support officer [F7or community support volunteer] under section 38 of the Police Reform Act 2002 (police powers for employees [F8or volunteers]).]
