27DProvision of information to holder of knife dealer's licence

Subsection (2) applies where the holder of a knife dealer's licence (“the dealer”)—

a

is required by the licence to obtain information of a type specified in the licence from a person; and

b

the dealer requests (whether orally, in writing or otherwise) the information from the person.

A person, or any person acting on behalf of the person, who knowingly or recklessly provides false information in response to a request under subsection (1)(b) is guilty of an offence and liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding level 3 on the standard scale.
