26 Islands or district council’s functions in relation to the provision of public conveniences. S

(1) [F1 A local authority] may provide, equip and maintain fixed or moveable public conveniences in such places as appear to them to be suitable and may make such reasonable charges as they may determine for the use of such conveniences.

(2) In subsection (1) above “conveniences” means water-closets, or urinals, and washing facilities for use in connection therewith.
