Subject to the following provisions of this Schedule, the children’s regional planning committee for a planning area (in this Schedule referred to as “the committee”) shall consist of such number of persons selected and appointed in such manner and holding office on such terms as the relevant authorities may from time to time approve.

No person who is disqualified by virtue of section 80 of the M1Local Government Act 1972 from being a member of any local authority which is one of the relevant authorities for a planning area may be a member of the committee for that area.
