(1)An education authority shall have power to provide for their area school education in nursery schools and nursery classes.
(2)The duties of an education authority under section 1 of the [1962 c. 47.] Education (Scotland) Act 1962 shall not apply in relation to the provision of school education in nursery schools and nursery classes.
(3)This section applies to Scotland only.
