4U.K.In section 11(1) after the words “purpose of this Act” there shall be inserted the words “or of the rules made by the council thereunder”.

5U.K.After section 15 insert the following section—

15A Resrtiction on use of style.

(1)It shall be unlawful for a person who is not registered in the register to use or adopt the style, title or descriptiom “farrier” or “shoeing smith” or any other style, title or description which is likely to cause any other person to believe that the first mentioned person is so registered:

Provided that this subsection shall not apply to a person—

(i)who, having had his name removed from the register, has not yet been given notice by the registrar of its removal ; or

(ii)who, having applied for registration in the register, has not had his application finally determined.

(2)A person who contravenes this section shall be liable to a fine not exceeding £100.

6U.K.In section 16(2) for paragraph (b) thereof there shall be substituted the following paragraph :—

(b)who, having applied for registration in the register, has not had hid application finally determined.

7U.K.In Schedule 3, paragraph 1(2), for the words “the quorum and of” there shall be substituted the words “and as to”.
