(1)This Act may be cited as the Bahamas Independence Act 1973.
(2)The M1Bahama Islands (Constitution) Act 1963 is hereby repealed as from the appointed day but not so as to affect the operation as part of the law of the Bahamas of any Order in Council made by virtue of that Act before that day.
(3)In accordance with section 3(3) of the M2West Indies Act 1967, it is hereby declared that sections 2, 3 and 6(2) of this Act extend to all associated states.
