(1)It is hereby declared that this Act extends to Northern Ireland.
(2)For the purposes of section 6 of the [1920 c. 67.] Government of Ireland Act 1920 this Act shall, so far as it relates to matters within the powers of the Parliament of Northern Ireland, be deemed to be an Act passed before the appointed day within the meaning of that section.
(1)This Act may be cited as the Supply of Goods (Implied Terms) Act 1973.
(2)In this Act " the principal Act" means the [56 & 57 Vict. c. 71.] Sale of Goods Act 1893.
(3)This Act shall come into operation at the expiration of a period of one month beginning with the date on which it is passed.
(4)Sections 17 to 20 and 29(3)(c) of each of the following Acts, that is to say, the [1965 c. 66.] Hire-Purchase Act 1965, the [1965 c. 67.] Hire-Purchase (Scotland) Act 1965 and the [1966 c. 42 (N.I.).] Hire Purchase Act (Northern Ireland) 1966 (provisions as to conditions, warranties and stipulations in hire-purchase agreements) shall cease to have effect.
(5)This Act does not apply to contracts of sale or hire-purchase agreements made before its commencement.
