45 Effect of appeal on sentence.U.K.
(1)Subject to this section, any sentence passed on an appeal from the Appeal Court to the [F1Supreme Court] in substitution for another sentence shall, unless the [F1Supreme Court] or the Appeal Court otherwise direct, begin to run from the time when that other sentence would have begun to run.
(2)Where under this Part of this Act a person subject to a sentence is [F2granted] bail pending an appeal, the time during which he is [F2released on bail] shall be disregarded in computing the term of his sentence.
