In section 4 (costs on appeal to House of Lords in criminal cases)—
a
in subsection (1), after the word " payment " there shall be inserted the words " to the accused "; and
b
in subsection (2), for the words from the beginning to " shall " there shall be substituted the words " Any amount ordered to be paid under this section shall, except where it is a specific amount ordered to be paid towards the accused's expenses as a whole ".
