13 Equitable compensation.

Every testamentary disposition executed after the commencement of this Act by which provision is made in favour of the spouse or of any issue of the testator and which does not contain a declaration that the provision so made is in full and final satisfaction of the right to any share in the testator’s estate to which the spouse or the issue, as the case may be, is entitled by virtue ofjus relicti, jus relictaeor legitim, shall (unless the disposition contains an express provision to the contrary) have effect as if it contained such a declaration.
