89Application to Inner and Middle Temples

For the purposes of the application of this Act to the Inner Temple and the Middle Temple the respective overseers thereof shall each be deemed to be a local authority.

Each of the said overseers shall, for the purpose of the enforcement of this Act within his Inn, have the like powers as are by this Act conferred on a factory inspector, and section 53(2) of this Act shall, with requisite modifications, apply accordingly.

Section 52(1) of this Act shall, in its application to each of the said overseers, have effect with the omission of the requirement to appoint inspectors; but each of the said overseers may appoint inspectors to assist him in the enforcement of this Act, and an inspector appointed under this subsection shall, for the purposes of section 53 of this Act, be treated as having been appointed under the said section 52(1).
