The Parties to the Suit, or any other Proceeding under this Act, may obtain at or from the Office of the Steward Subpoenas to compel the Attendance of Witnesses, with or without a Clause requiring the Production of Books, Deeds, Papers, and Writings in their Possession or Control; and in any such Subpoena any Number of Names may be inserted, and such Subpoenas shall be served upon the Witnesses in like Manner as Subpoenas issuing out of the Superior Courts [F1at the Royal Courts of Justice].
