24.—(1) Section 18 is amended as follows.
(2) In the heading, at the end insert “: public interest”.
(3) In subsection (1), for “GDPR” substitute “UK GDPR”.
(4) In subsection (2), for paragraph (a) (but not the final “and”) substitute—
“(a)the transfer cannot take place based on adequacy regulations (see section 17A),”.
