The Secretary of State has been designated1 for the purposes of making Regulations under section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 19722 in relation to measures relating to consumer protection.
A draft of these Regulations has been approved by a resolution of each House of Parliament pursuant to section 2(2) of, and paragraph 2(2) of Schedule 2 to, the European Communities Act 1972.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 19723, the Secretary of State makes the following Regulations:
