9U.K.Where a casual vacancy occurs among the members of the committee, the body which appointed the person whose place is to be filled may [F1after carrying out the like consultation as was required when the appointment was made] appoint a person to fill the vacancy, and any person so appointed shall hold office for the unexpired portion of the term of office of the person in whose place he is appointed.
