The Archbishops of Canterbury and York, in exercise of the powers conferred by rule 20(2) of the Clergy Discipline Appeal (Amendment) Rules 2013 F1, make the following instrument:
Textual Amendments
1. This Instrument may be cited as the Clergy Discipline Appeal (Amendment) Rules 2013 (Appointed Day) Instrument 2014.
2. The day appointed for the coming into force of the Clergy Discipline Appeal (Amendment) Rules 2013 is 1st February 2014, save that rules 2 to 9 and 17 to 19 shall not have effect in relation to any complaint made before that date.

This instrument brings into force on 1st February 2014 the provisions of the Clergy Discipline Appeal (Amendment) Rules 2013 which amend the Clergy Discipline Appeal Rules 2005. The Clergy Discipline Appeal Rules 2005 provide a code of procedure for appeals made pursuant to section 20 of the Clergy Discipline Measure 2003 in proceedings alleging misconduct against a clerk in Holy Orders, other than in relation to matters involving doctrine, ritual or ceremonial.
