The Archbishops of Canterbury and York, in exercise of the powers conferred by rule 37(2) of the Clergy Discipline (Amendment) Rules 2013 F1, make the following instrument:

CitationE

1.  This Instrument may be cited as the Clergy Discipline (Amendment) Rules 2013 (Appointed Day) Instrument 2014.

Appointed dayE

2.  The day appointed for the coming into force of the Clergy Discipline (Amendment) Rules 2013 is 1st February 2014.

Explanatory Note

(This note is not part of the Order)

This instrument brings into force on 1st February 2014 the provisions of the Clergy Discipline (Amendment) Rules 2013 which amend the Clergy Discipline Rules 2005. The Clergy Discipline Rules 2005 provide a code of procedure for the determination under the Clergy Discipline Measure 2003 of formal complaints alleging misconduct against a clerk in Holy Orders other than in relation to matters involving doctrine, ritual or ceremonial.
