Priests (Ordination of Women) Measure 1993 (Appointed Day Instrument 1994)

Whereas the Priests (Ordination of Women) Measure received the Royal Assent on the fifth day of November 1993

And Whereas by section 12 of the said Measure it is provided that the Measure shall come into force on such day as the Archbishops of Canterbury and York may jointly appoint.

Now We GEORGE LEONARD by Divine Providence Archbishop of Canterbury and JOHN STAPYLTON by Divine Providence Archbishop of York do hereby jointly appoint that the said Measure shall come into force on the first day of February 1994.

Dated this thirty first day of January One thousand nine hundred and ninety four
