This Order is made in exercise of the power conferred by section 43A(1)(a) of the Fire (Scotland) Act 2005(1) and all other powers enabling Her Majesty to do so.

Accordingly, Her Majesty is pleased, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to order as follows.

Citation and commencement

1.  This Order may be cited as the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (Appointment of Chief Inspector) Order 2018 and comes into force on 7th June 2018.

Appointment of Chief Inspector

2.  Simon Gerald Routh-Jones, QFSM is appointed as the Chief Inspector of the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service.

Revocation

3.  The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (Appointment of Chief Inspector) Order 2016(2) is revoked.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order appoints Simon Gerald Routh-Jones, QFSM as the Chief Inspector of the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service.

Article 3 revokes the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (Appointment of Chief Inspector) Order 2016.
