The Reservoirs (Scotland) Act 2011 (Commencement No. 2) Order 2015

The Scottish Ministers make the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 116(1) of the Reservoirs (Scotland) Act 2011(1) and all other powers enabling them to do so.

Citation and commencement

1.  This Order may be cited as the Reservoirs (Scotland) Act 2011 (Commencement No. 2) Order 2015 and comes into force on 20th February 2015.

Appointed day

2.—(1) 20th February 2015 is the day appointed for the coming into force of the provisions of the Reservoirs (Scotland) Act 2011 specified in paragraph (2).

(2) The provisions are—

(a)section 27(a) (panels of reservoir engineers: establishment), in so far as not already in force; and

(b)section 31(1)(a) (consultation with Institution of Civil Engineers).

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order brings into force on 20th February 2015 the provisions of the Reservoirs (Scotland) Act 2011 (“the Act”) listed in article 2. In particular, these provisions require the Scottish Ministers to establish one or more panels of reservoir engineers for the purposes of the Act.
