20.—(1) The Avian Influenza (Slaughter and Vaccination) (Scotland) Regulations 2006(1) are amended in accordance with this article.
(2) In regulation 2(1) (interpretation)—
(a)omit the definition of “Chief Veterinary Officer (Scotland)”;
(b)omit the definition of “the Divisional Veterinary Manager”; and
(c)insert after the definition of “the Act”—
““authorised veterinary inspector” means a veterinary inspector authorised by the Scottish Ministers to receive information about birds or carcases infected with avian influenza or suspected of being infected with avian influenza;”.
(3) In regulation 17(1) (failure to vaccinate birds specified for vaccination) for “the Divisional Veterinary Manager for the area in which that bird is located” substitute “an authorised veterinary inspector”.
