The Scottish Ministers make the following Order in exercise of the power conferred by section 206(2) of the Children’s Hearings (Scotland) Act 2011(1).
1. This Order may be cited as the Children’s Hearings (Scotland) Act 2011 (Commencement No. 1) Order 2011.
2. 19th January 2011 is the day appointed for the coming into force of the following provisions of the Children’s Hearings (Scotland) Act 2011—
(a)section 1 (the National Convener);
(b)paragraph 8(7) of schedule 1 (the National Convener).

This Order brings into force on 19th January 2011 section 1 of, and paragraph 8(7) of schedule 1 to, the Children’s Hearings (Scotland) Act 2011 (“the Act”).
The Act received Royal Assent on 6th January 2011. Part 20 (other than section 203) came into force on Royal Assent.
