CHILDREN AND YOUNG PERSONS

This Order applies the special restrictions which are set out in section64(1) of the Adoption and Children (Scotland) Act 2007 (“theAct”) in relation to the adoption of children from Nepal. As a result the Scottish Ministers will not be permitted to take any steps to further the bringing of children into the United Kingdom from Nepal for the purposes of adoption, unless they are satisfied that they should do so under section64(2) of the Act.
